David's best friend is going to get married tonight, he went to Taipei to have a huge dinner and say congratulations to his best friend. Alan is studying very hard tonight for his last week's midterm exam. Also, he misses his dad very much.

In these days, my face is comming out more spots that calls acne. I fell very uncomfrotable, I want to have beautiful face already. I have scne since I was in the high school. When people looked at me and they start to laugh at me. What is this world. This situation makes me more uncomfortable. The worst part is that some people are not even want to look at me when I am talking to them. I have a lot of hope, I wantand I am hopping that someday my face will be beautiful without nothing on my face. Alan took this picture when I was in my doctor for acne treatment.

This is sunday night. Alan and I were preparing for Alan's midterm exam. Alan will have his last week's midterm exam next week. After next week, Alan and I can relax and go to see the movies. These three weeks, I am very tirering because I was studying with my poor son. I want him to get higer grades to not look bad on me.

My poor son, Alan is having two tests today. He has a reading and speaking test. They are all in English. He is so tired because he was studying for it last night. He wanted to have a good grade but I do not know how he will do it. I am hopping he can get a good grades.

I can see my son very tirering because he could not weak this morning. After breakfast, we left h ome and he was sleeping in the car until he arrived to school. Also, in his cram school, Alan wants to go for a math competition. My baby is working so hard to achieve his goal.

開車行經中棲路靜宜大學前，看到東側停車場的民眾都會嚇一跳，
近四千輛機車停在一起「黑壓壓」一片；
校方指出該校機車停車場是目前大專院校最大的停車場，連國外的學府都嘆為觀止。
這麼大的機車停車場，不僅是一位難求，要找到機車停放的位置，更儼如大海撈針！
企管系郭元豪同學指出，常可看到同學在逛停車場，因為忘記自己車停在那裡。
資管系吳克軒同學說，在停車場才發覺好朋友的重要，因為找不到機車時，
可以一群人一起找。
靜宜大學校長俞明德應邀到國外演講時，突然靈機一動，可以介紹該校的機車停車場，
果然讓外國學生大吃一驚，印象深刻；
因為在國外很少同一時間，會看到那麼多的機車停在一起，果然是「台灣奇蹟」。

Alan in Exam's Week

Started from last week, Alan had his mid term exam. Alan is at the private school in Taiwan and the school is testing him 8 subjects. This includes Chinese, Math, English, reading, Spelling, Speaking, science, and writing. He is just in the second grade and he has so many tests. Each of the tests are very difficult because they are more filling in the blanks. As parent, I see my little child so busy, my heart is going down. Practically, he did not have time to do what he suppose to do "play time". Other children from neighboorhood, can play and they can be happy. The only time when he is happy is that he did not need to go to school. I do not know if I choose the right education for him or not.

Cruise, Holmes Wed in Italian Castle

BRACCIANO, Italy -- In a fairy-tale setting, Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes exchanged wedding vows Saturday in a glowing 15th-century castle in this medieval lakeside town. Cruise's publicist, Arnold Robinson, confirmed that the evening ceremony had taken place and said he would release details later. It was expected to be a Scientology ceremony.
Oil-fed torches and tiny candles flickered from the battlements and windows of the Odescalchi castle as the couple and fellow celebrities gathered for the ceremony in the town about 27 miles northwest of Rome.

One of the guests was the couple's daughter, 7-month-old Suri, who was dressed in white and arrived in her mother's arms.

Holmes wore a black dress and boots before she changed into a Giorgio Armani gown for the ceremony. Cruise came from Rome, where the family had been staying in a luxury hotel near the Spanish Steps, in a van and, sporting dark shades, waved to fans.
When the groom drove up, Holmes, anxiously gesturing with a hand, watched from a castle window.

Other VIPs driven through the castle gates included Brooke Shields, Richard Gere, Jennifer Lopez, Jim Carrey and Roberta Armani, the designer's niece.

People magazine also reported that Will Smith and his wife Jada Pinkett Smith, along with David Beckham and his wife, Victoria, came to the castle. And "Entertainment Tonight" said Italian singer Andrea Bocelli serenaded the couple after the ceremony.

The two stars arrived separately to the castle earlier Saturday, with pouring rain forcing Holmes and her daughter to take shelter under large, green umbrellas as they left their limousine. But the sun was shining on the castle when Cruise arrived, with some fans shouting, "Tom, Tom!"
As the sun began to set, candles were placed in pots along the road to the castle and in some of the windows.

Australian Grandson

After many years of waiting to be grandparents, Steve and Barbara, my Australian Homestay parents finally have their first grandson. I am so happy for them. Also I am glad that Barbara, my Australian Homestay mother is recovering from her surgery. Here are the photos of the new born baby.

Hi, just a short note to let you know that we are now proud grandperents of a baby boy Bailey James Rye and he is now home with Adam & Kate. They are doing well and settling in, Barb & I visited them yesterday and we both had a very long nurse of him, I (Steve) could not take the smile of my face it was so great to hold our grandson. I do beleive he will spoilt rotten for a while.
Barb also had a nurse and changed his nappy ,she also had the same smile on her face. Barb is still slowly recovering from her operation and is getting better quickly now that the infection has cleaned up.

My Cultivating Talents guest speaker is learning Chinese at Tainan university. He is also performing a Chinese opera. The show was great with a lot of lights. The costumes were so great that everyone worked so hard to have tonight's show.

Exam Time for Alan

My poor baby is in his exam week. He had to study very hard to get 100 points. In his class, all his classmates are great and nobody gets less than 100. I do not know what kind of food these children eat, but they study really hard. Alan needs to study hard but he did not want to study very hard, he just want to play. It is hard fo rme to tell him to study becuase in his head he just want to play and play. I have to make deal with him to encourage him to study.

Returning

Anita has to go back today to Taichun and David has to go to Taipei for his bussiness. I am alone with Alan today. Anita and David took the same train, both of them are not very loney, they can speak and share things together. I think both of them have a great time.

Photo Steaker

While we were at the night market in Kao-Shiong, we went to take photo steaker. Alan really enjoyed taking picture with Anita. It was a lot of fun. One set of phot costs $50 NT. Because Anita has the cupon of $50 NT off. It was a good deal, we could take a lot of pictures.

Spend Time With Anita at Yu- Jing (玉井)

Anita never eats fruit in meal. I decided to bring her to try special meal with fruit on it. This place is Yu-Jing (玉井). The restaurant's name is 果農之家 when we arrived to the mango place and we ordered many dishes for us to eat. Each meal is very unique because it has meat, vegetables and fruits. Even fish has fruits on it. Anita really like it because the meal were so special.

After mango city, we went to kao-shiong. We went to the street of clothing and we went to night market. Also, we stoped at Cosco to buy some food and we end up eating at koria resturant. Anita really like it. We enjoyed to be with each other. When we arrived home, it was really late, it was time to sleep. Alan and I had to go to school next morning. Next morning, Anita and David will take train, Anita will go back to Taichun and David will go to Taipei.

After Lunch!

After lunch with my guest from Puerto Rico, it is time for us to go shopping. Alan was very impatient, he did not want to wait for a long time. After I brought Alan and Anita to the department store, Shin-Kong Mitsukoshi 新光三越 台南新天地 he was happy because he could play his games. After looking around and buy things, I finally went to the doctor. Everybody were so tired, but we enjoyed today.

After going home, we went to the night market. We ate very few things because David bought things for us and he was waiting for us to eat at home. We got the hurry up and going back home soon.

Cultivating Talents Guest Speakers

The proyect of my cultivating talents is still going on. Anita represents Costa Rica and Ecuador. Ahemias represent Panama. I have two guest speakers today. I am very happy about it.

We woke up early in the morning and I have to meet Jojoh at McDonald's. Anita, Alan and I ordered breakfast over there. We ate our breakfast while we were waiting for Jojoh and her friend, Ahemias, my guest speaker. I finished my breakfast and follow by Anita and finally Alan got to the end.

Almost at the end of Alan's food, Jojoh arrive to McDonald's. I saw her with her bag pack who was ready to go to Taipei for a meeting. I introduced her to my sister. While we were talking, Ahemias arrived and we were ready to go to school.

When we arrived to school, there's a lot of people, we did not know what was going on. After asking a few questions to the guard and we knew what was going on. It is the parent's meeting for junior high school.

We parked our cars and we went to the classroom. Ahemias was eating his breakfast while were waiting for my 4 students. Each presentation turned out wonderful and clear. Anita and the other guest speaker did a wonderful power point with a lot of pictures.

My guest from Puerto Rico prepared 22 countries in all South American. He introduced each of these countries. It was so cool.

After our meeting, I invited my guest speakers for lunch. After lunch we were talking and talking for a while. Alan wanted to go, he wanted to go and play some games at the department store.

Anita came to Tainan

My little sister arrived today November 10th, 2006 at 4:40 P.M. She is going to take a train from Taichun to Tainan. This is the first time for her to come to Tainan. I am very happy to see her. My husband and I will plan something to bring her to see Tainan.

Before Anita's arrival, my husband, David was working extra hours to be able to spend time with her. Before 5 P.M. Anita was already on the train. She called me to say that she will arrive on time to Tainan. I ran to pick her up after my last class. She did not have to wait for a long time. She is so lucky because her sister went to pick her up, that's me.

After I pick her up, I brought her to buy some drinks. The drink is called red tea, it is very famous here in Tainan, the store is very old store and it run from one generation to another generation.

After buying drinks, we went to eat hot pot at the David and I's favorite store. Anita did not eat very hot, she did try a little bit but not a lot. Alan and Anita ate the non-spicy part. After eating, we went back home. Fortunately David, did not need to work until late tonight.

After arrived home, Anita was doing ppower point for tomorrow's presentation. Hopping she can do it very well. Tonight, Alan is very happy because he can sleep with her aunt.

PEOPLE COME INTO YOUR LIFE FOR A REASON

People come into your life for a reason, a season or a lifetime. When you know which one it is, you will know what to do for that person. When someone is in your life for a REASON, it is usually to meet a need you have expressed. They have come to assist you through a difficulty, to provide you with guidance and support, to aid you physically, emotionally or spiritually. They may seem like a godsend and they are. They are there for the reason you need them to be. Then, without any wrongdoing on your part or at an inconvenient time, this person will say or do something to bring the relationship to an end. Sometimes they die. Sometimes they walk away. Sometimes they act up and force you to take a stand. What we must re! alize is that our need has been met, our desire fulfilled, their work is done. The prayer you sent up has been answered and now it is time to move on. Some people come into your life for a SEASON, because your turn has come to share, grow or learn. They bring you an experience of peace or! make you laugh. They may teach you something you have never done. They usually give you an unbelievable amount of joy. Believe it, it is real. But only for a season.! LIFETIME relationships teach you lifetime lessons, things you must build upon in order to have a solid emotional foundation. Your job is to! accept the lesson, love the person and put what you have learned to use in all other relationships and areas of your life. It is said that love is blind but friendship is clairvoyant.
Thank you for being a part of my life, whether you were a reason, a season or a lifetime.

僵持一小時 王建民下車步行回家

The famous Taiwanese baseball player arrived today. His Tainan hometown received him with all the warmed that he need. He did not expected a lot of people, but all the crows was a big surprise for him. The following is the article.

台灣之光王建民帶著妻子吳嘉姈回到台灣，專車開到家門口卻遇到大批媒體和球迷「擋路」，一大早就到王建民家門口等待球迷要求建仔親自下車步行回家接受球迷歡迎，雙方一度僵持一小時後，王建民下車步行回家才可以進入日思夜想的甜蜜的家。王建民搭乘華航班機於早上9點40抵達高雄小港機場，王建民一行人也是花了很久的時間在媒體與球迷簇擁下才步出機場大廳搭上回台南的專車。沒想到位於台南市崇學路的家門前，有更大批球迷與媒體守候，雖然現場有台南市警察維持秩序，但王建民的專車根本無去開到家門前。王建民隨行經紀人張嘉元一度下車與現場球迷與警察溝通，達成王建民下車與球迷打招呼後，請球迷讓出車道讓王建民回家，而王建民的專車也退後想要滿足球迷熱情，沒想到停頓了十幾分鐘後，這輛專車頭也沒回地驅車離開崇學路，留下現場一陣錯愕的球迷。王建民驅車離去後，警察馬上在台南市崇學路架起了封鎖線，但是這樣的空間仍無法讓王建民專車開到家門前，王建民一行人驅車離去後也找了地方商量，最後決定，還是回應球迷要求，也就是用步行的方式從人群中走回家。之後，現場球迷都親眼看到王建民與建仔親切揮手才心滿意足結束了這場「迎王會」。不過，經過這番折騰，也讓王建民專車差不多十一點多到台南老家的巷口，一直到十二點多才走進家門。上網挺王建民拚「年度先發投手」獎。

高鐵出軌》履勘委員：語言不通才出事

Finally we will have the fatest train in Taiwan. When I was reading this article from the internet, it was really funny, the train company instead of hire Taiwanese, they hire pople from all over the world to control the train. But the problem is how do they communicate with each other if they do not know any English? If there's some problem, how do they resolve? please read the following article in Chinese.

高鐵列車昨天下午在左營站附近出軌，履勘委員直言應是語言不能相通造成的。因目前高鐵的試運轉人員，無論是駕駛、行控人員、在地控制員都是外國人，其中有日本、法國、德國、美國及加拿大人，「沒錯，他們都會說英文，但在緊急狀況下能否用英文說清楚，但還待考驗，只要有一個字發音不準，就會出狀況」。

另外一位履勘委員則說，在履勘時委員們即發現所有行控人員都是外國人，有法國人、德國人等，「都是外國人照著SOP（標準作業流程）在表演，只要照著劇本表演，當然不會有問題，但像昨天下午發生緊急狀況時，就出軌了」。昨天出事時，列車長是台籍，司機是法國人，行控人員是日本人。

他們並認為，高鐵昨天的出軌，正好顯示高鐵整個系統還有很多問題，須要時間測試與磨合，「在未通車營運前出愈多事愈好，因為這可以讓高鐵人員更熟練系統的運作」。
此外，委員們更說，台灣高鐵操作遲早要本土化，他們希望高鐵加速腳步訓練台灣的駕駛、行控人員，只有用中文溝通，才能確保高鐵的安全無虞。

履勘委員昨晚聽到高鐵列車出軌，先是嚇一跳，接著的反應是「出軌得好」，意謂高鐵還要再加把勁。委員說，台灣高鐵的系統、設備都是一流的，硬體是最好的，但軟體的行車控制，能不能跟上腳步，則是關鍵。他們不認為出軌是意外，絕對是人為疏失，但這個疏失是怎麼發生的，高鐵公司必須調查清楚，並對外說明。
