I Got USA Visa

Yesterday, November 26th, 2007, I went to an American visa interview. My appointment was at 8:00 AM. I arrived at the American embassy 5 minute to 8. It was a lot of people waiting over there already. They have different people at different time. They have at 7:00, 8:00, 8:30, 9:00, 9:30, 10:00, 10:30, 11:00, 11:30 to 1:00 PM.

When I entered, security were checking, bags, no cell phones or cameras. Practically, they were checking everything to ensure everything was right. After that, workers at American embassy were also checking people's papers. They want to make sure everything was right. Specially the size of the picture. If there's no right, they will send people to retake pictures. It is kind of work, but that is a procedure.

After they check my documents and they asked me questions, it is time for me to watch 20 minute video. In that video, they will teach you how to do when you go to a counter and see immigration. They also teach you how to do finger printing. They have to scan your fingers and check if you are criminal. I think that is for security purposes.

After scan your papers and finger printing, the last part was the interview. I was prepared to ask a lot of questions. When my turn came, they asked me only three questions. I was studying in the States before, so they must have my record.

I think I was very lucky. I got a very simple person who gave me visa. Now, I am so excited, I will go to Texas.

I was in MN for many years and I never go to another State besides, MN. I was in MN for my whole life. The only opportunity I went to Pennsylvania and LA for presentation. School paid me $500 dollars for that. That fee covers already plane ticket and part of the food.

My son, Alan was so excited that I got USA visa. We are going to Texas to see my friend Karla.

Nationality Oral Test

I am so proud of my junior one (7th graders). Each group did a wonderful work. I did not expect work like that. I told them to make one thing from the country that they have chosen. Most of them choose to do sighting or food from one of the countries.

Each of them have to do research and each of them have to speak for one minute. If they have three people in that group, so it will be three minutes in English.

Some of the groups spoke wonderful English with wonderful work. I am very happy teacher now. I really enjoyed listening to them.

Pao-Yen Elementary School

Pao-yen is one of the best schools in Tainan city. It is a catholic school and it offers good educational programs for kids. It is bigger and cleaner. All the teachers over there are very nice and they know how to take care of their children. Unlike public schools in Taiwan, teachers do not know how to take care of their children or even they do not know how to teach.

Alan is at private school here in Tainan. The school is Pao-Yen. The school is very expensive but very good school in Tainan city. The school is beautiful compared to the public school in Taiwan. Alan's classroom is cleaner and nicer than other schools, even the bathroom is very clean. Alan is in the third grade now, I cannot believe how my baby is growing up.

告訴你們一件奇妙的事，你們不妨牢記在心，有一天或許也用得著喔！ 我家的馬桶突然就不通了，我灌了通樂也不管用，如此苦惱了三四天。 昨天我上網打出馬桶不通怎麼辦求救，結果我看到了一個秘方：說是把約一公斤的碎冰塊倒入馬桶，然後再按水箱沖水就行了。還說此法不但環保也不用花錢，而且無論阻塞多嚴重，都能讓它暢通到底，這真神奇！我有些半信半疑，但既然沒有其他辦法，就決定試它一試。 昨晚我用冰箱裡的四個小製冰盤裝水，今天早上就結冰塊了，我把它們敲下來一起倒入馬桶，然後按水沖等著奇蹟發生， 可是好像沒有動靜 正在失望的時候，突然好大的一聲嘩啦嘩啦，哈 通了.... 好痛快啊！神吧！！

What you can do is when your bathroom got stuck and you can put one pound of ice into the toilet and flush it away. Since then, the bathroom won't be stuck.

Piano Player

Ethan is only 6 years old and he knows how to play piano very well. Here is the video.

Day of My Birthday

This morning, when arrived to the office, Selma, my coworker gave me a box of chocolate. It is so sweet of her.

In the evening, Alan supposed to have piano lessons, but it was canceled. So I called David and he was in his classmate's house. I went there right away. When we arrived there, the brother were there. The young uncle was playing with the little child.

After that David's classmate brought us to have dinner. We ordered 4 dishes and one soup, also drinks are there, too.

The restaurant is a family restaurant with no decorations. The food is good but it seems Alan did not like it. He wasn't eating a lot last yesterday night.

I was so tired when we went out to eat. I wish I could go home. I had a log day at my school.

I enjoyed the food, I was so full that I did not have my birthday cake. I will have it tonight with Alan.

Nela's Birthday

Tomorrow will be my birthday. Tonight we are going to celebrate my birthday a little bit earlier. David invited me to eat at Oceanpoili. This restaurant is all home made Chinese food. It is kind of special.

When awe entered to the restaurant, Alan and I were shocked. The decoration is kind of special. It is like a library style, it has all kinds of dolls instead of books.

The service is so good, all the waiters and waitresses are very polite. They were taking care of the customers. They were saying Alan's hair cut is so cute. At that time, Alan was so happy for the complements.

The restaurant is a buffet style, you can order from most simple foods to the most complicated food, also drinks like all kinds of tea, coffee, juice, and more are included. They have everything from hot to cold drinks.

We ordered 20 dishes to eat and 4 bowls of rice of course two kinds of soup are included, too.

Alan had two glasses of juice. I never see Alan eating a lot before and this is the first time for him to eat a lot. He likes the vegetables, he was eating a lot of those vegetables.

The price is very affordable.
