Eclipse

In 40 years in the world history, we have early eclipse. Our students are so excited to see it. They were not even want to study. Our school were giving special glasses to each stduents, so they can see the eclipse. I also saw the eclipse, I am so excited about it. This is the first time in my whole life, I saw the eclipse.

Back to Summer School

Today we started already our first day of summer school. Everyone here seems they still are in vacation. They do not feel to study anymore. Everyone wants more vacation. Summer vacation (Three weeks) is not too long and not too short. It is just right amount of days. I am very happy to go back to school because I can see my students and I can chat with them.

Week 8 (Baby's Heart Beat)

We woke up at 5:00 A.M. and we left Taichun, my grandma's house at 5:30 A.M. We arrived to Tainan city at 7:30 A.M. Luckily, we found free parking space. We parked and we walked to the Chi-Mei Hospital. It is not too far from the parking space and the hospital, it is just 5 minutes or less walking.

When I arrived to the hospital, I found a lot of people were waiting in line. I am not the fist early bird. Some people were earlier than me. At 8:00 A.M. nurse started to open the computer and they started the registration. Luckily, the doctor that I want was available for me.

After registration, I went to the maternity building which is located on the second floor. I put my medical insurance card over there and the nurse asked me some information. Nurse said 9:00 A.M. will start checking up with the doctor.

It is 8:45, I saw Dr. Wang coming from the other door. He was ready to see his first patient. After three minutes, he called his first patient to go inside. I am number 40 so now it is number 1, that means I have to wait for a long time.

After one hour and half of waiting, Dr. Wang called me to go inside. He put me in another ultrasound. I could see my baby. According to the doctor, I am in the 8th week and 6 days of pregnancy. That means I am two months and 6 days, wow!

At this week, the doctor checked baby's heart beat. He says my baby is developing very fine, its heart beat is just beautiful and normal. I am very glad to heard that. Also the Dr. treated me very kindly.

This Dr. even he seems very old, but I think he might have a lot of experience. I am glad that I choose the right Dr. for my maternity.

Wang-Hua's Baby Girl!

This is Wan-Hua's baby girl. Wan-Hua is a young woman that I knew in Saint Cloud, MN, USA. She was working on her master's degree. However, I got my masters before her. Now she is in Canada and getting her masters. I do not know what happened to her in USA. Anyways, her baby is 3 month old baby. She seems so happy.

Second Check Up!

I had an appointment with the doctor at 8:30 PM. He was checking everybody very slow. When I arrived there, it was number 27. I am 47, I have to wait for a long time. I went to Sin-Lau christian hospital (新樓醫院) . The doctor I chose is very good, but at the same time, he is very busy. So he could not help me to deliver the baby.

The doctor took ultrasound, he said baby is 8 weeks big and it heart beat is normal. I am glad that baby's heart beat is normal. I am very worrying that the baby is not normal. Alan was so happy to have this baby, he is always taking care of me and he is worrying me all the time. I think my baby is growing up and he knows what he wants.

The doctor told me to go back next week to see another doctor, I will choose a good doctor even nurses said everyone is the best over there.

Everybody also said Sin-Lau hospital is very famous for maternity. This is also the reason I chose this hospital.

I do not have picture of my ultrasound. As before the doctor gave to me but doctors in Taiwan do not used to give ultrasound pictures to patients.
