Trip to Chang-Hua

On Sunday (4-2, 2006), we (David, Alan and I) went to Chang-Hua (彰化), Lu-Kang (鹿港). On Wenesday, it will be Tomb-Sweeping Day (清明節) in Taiwan, so the roads will be very very busy (traffic). We used our weekend to go back and get together with families. David's uncle brought us to many places and he showed us so many different traditionall templos in Lu-Kang. He also told us the stories about where they came from. The family history was very interesting. On the other hand, David's aunt prepared spring rolls (春捲), this food is very common and it is the only food for this day. I helped David's aunt to prepare for the spring rolls. The way she made spring rolls was very unique. According to kevin, my father- in-law said that aunt prepared a typical family spring rolls with grandmom's test. I had two of them. Personally, I like spring rolls, I wich I could eat more but I was so full.

At 5 PM, we departured from Lu-Kang to Taichun. We went to my grandmom's house. SMy grandmom lives in Da-Li (大里), it is close to Da-Li's hospital, Jen-Ai (仁愛) and Da-Li Elementary School (大里國小). Since the Chinese New year until now, I did not see my grandmom. It have been a long time. She was so happy to see me, David and Alan. Alan, my son is so lucky to see his great-grandmom. Alan dreamed his great-grandmom one time, when he went to see her, he told her about the dream. My grandmom was so happy because Alan dreamed her and Alan misses her too.

My dad brought us to eat hot pot (火鍋). At that restuarant it is all you can eat. I ate a lot since in the morning and in the afternoon. I did not plan to eat at night but my dad insisted to invite us for dinner. Alan was so happy to have his own hot pot because he could pick up what he wanted to eat and he could cook at the same time which I did not let him to touch the fire at home.

We came back around 11 PM last night. It was a greate trip but very tiring. We had a great time over there. I whish Monday (today 4-3, 2006) we did not need to work or go to school. With the busy work, we did not go anywhere together as whole family or take family pictures. Also, I wich we could have more vacation, so we all can have more family time.
