Ariel's Proposal

Alan my master program at St. Cloud State University, accepted her boyfriend's marriage proposal. In American culture, the boy should propose to the girl, if the accept, they will plan to get married soon. However, in Taiwanese culture, the boy's parents should propose to the girl's parents about their children in marriage. My friend Ariel is Taiwanese and she accepted her boyfriend's proposal by not saying anything to her parents. Now, the professor from St. Cloud State University cam back home and try to talk to Ariel's parents about Daniel, Ariel's fiancee.

Ariel's father was really angry during the conversation. I think Daniel should come to Taiwan with his parents and proposal Ariel in-front of her parents to avoid some problems. Now they are engaged and living together but until when she has to wait to get married to this man? Another problem is that this young man is younger than her for 2 years. That can be her brother. Ariel's bother in younger than her for one year. I think this situation can be solved but it needs time.
